Our privately owned Retreat Home is located in Oceanside Oregon.

Oceanside is an out-of-the-way spot built on an amphitheater shaped hillside, overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean and long sandy beach.

Three Arch Rocks National Wildlife Refuge is located just off shore in Oceanside and can be viewed from the many windows of our home.

At the northern most end of Oceanside is Maxwell Point, a rock structure jutting in to the ocean. There is a tunnel through Maxwell Point. During low tides, the tunnel allows access to natural caves and tide pool.

Hiking to the top of Maxwell Point is a must for some. Many daring people hang glide off the top of Maxwell Point. The Oceanside Open, an annual paragliding and hang gliding competition, is held late each April in Oceanside.

Oceanside is called, by many, the gem of the Oregon coast. A local restaurant, Roseanna’s¬†Cafe, is one of the finest on the Oregon coast. Offering a gourmet menu of seafood, chicken, pasta dishes and desserts.

Oceanside also has a coffee shop/restaurant named Brewing in the Wind.

Cape Meares has over three miles of hiking trails and a mile-long walking trail that winds through old-growth spruce trees taking you to the uniquely shaped “Octopus Tree” and the largest Sitka spruce tree in the state of Oregon. From Oceanside, it only takes a few minutes to drive to Cape Meares State Park and Lighthouse.

In winter and spring, Oceanside and Cape Meares are excellent locations for viewing whale migrations. During the summer, resident whales can be seen along with seals and sea lions.
